Crankshaft oil hole process problem

Deep hole drilling concept:

In the machinery manufacturing industry, cylindrical holes with a hole depth more than 10 times the hole diameter are generally called deep holes. Deep holes are usually divided into three types: general deep holes, medium deep holes and special deep holes according to the ratio of the piercing depth to the hole diameter (L/D).

1 L/D=10~20, it is a general deep hole. It is often used for long twist drilling on a drill press or a lathe.
2 L/D=20~30, it belongs to medium deep hole. It is often processed on a lathe.
3 L/D=30~100, which belongs to the special hole depth. It must be processed on a deep hole drilling machine or special equipment using a deep hole drill.

Difficulties in deep hole processing:

1. The cutting situation cannot be directly observed. Judge chip removal and drill wear only by sound, watching cutting, observing machine load, oil pressure and other parameters.
2. Cutting heat is not easily transmitted.
3. Chip removal is difficult, and the drill bit will be damaged if it encounters cutting blockage.
4. Due to the long drill rod, poor rigidity, and easy vibration, the hole axis will be deflected, which will affect the machining accuracy and production efficiency.

Pay attention to the problem of crankshaft oil hole processing:

1 Generally, the length of the flat-bottom drill and the guide hole are very close. When changing the tool, the operator must see it clearly, otherwise the tool collision event is likely to occur.
2 When the chamfer drill is processing the chamfering of the hole, the size of the chamfer of the hole will be different, usually after the new tool is changed, the tool is generally worn out, (the tool can be corrected by changing the parameters in the program) .
3 The decrease of MQL flow rate will cause the deep hole drill to break and the product to be scrapped (this kind of problem can be found in the spot inspection, and the daily consumption of oil can also be found).
4 Before installing the sharpened deep hole drill, check whether the internal cooling hole is blocked.
